House notes GSTC Blog
Spotted an Error?
Three people write this blog, and three people can miss things. A missing step in a recipe, an outdated piece of guidance, a broken link, a sentence that says something other than we meant: we want to know about all of them. Thank you for taking the time to tell us.
Worth flagging
- A fact or piece of health information that is wrong or no longer reflects common guidance.
- A recipe step, quantity or timing that does not work as written.
- Food-safety advice that seems unclear or incomplete.
- A link that is broken or leads somewhere unexpected.
- A sentence that could easily be misunderstood, especially on a health topic.
- Spelling or grammar slips. Small ones still matter to us.
How to report it
Email letters@godsavethecream.net or use the form on our Talk to Us page. A quick fix is much easier when your note mentions:
- which article it is, by title or link;
- the sentence, step or link you are referring to;
- what seems off, plus the better version if you have one;
- where you found the correct information, if you have a source in mind.
No expertise is needed to flag something. "This step confused me" is useful feedback too.
What happens next
Corrections go to the front of our queue. Someone on the team reads your message, checks the article and looks at reputable sources on the point in question. If we agree there is a problem, we fix it. If we are not sure, we may ask you for a little more detail, or rewrite the passage so that it is more cautious.
For small slips such as typos or broken links, we simply make the change. When a fix alters what a guide actually tells you, for example a cooking step or a piece of health guidance, we update the text and the article's modified date so returning readers can see it has changed.
When we disagree
Occasionally a reader suggests a change we decide not to make, perhaps because the topic is debated or the suggested change would make the article less cautious. In that case we will explain our reasoning if we can. We may still adjust the wording to acknowledge that views differ.
Health concerns
If you think an article could lead someone to make an unsafe decision, please say so clearly in your message and we will look at it as a priority. Please remember that we cannot review your personal situation; for that, speak to a doctor, dentist or pharmacist. Our Not Medical Advice page explains more.
Why we care so much
Trust is the whole point of a how-to guide. Each note you send improves the page for whoever opens it next. You can read about how we research articles in the first place on Where Facts Come From.
Tell us what you think.
We read every message.
